Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPS&W) on September 25, 2026, notified the Mega Ports under the Indian Ports Act, 2025.

The Government has notified Deendayal (Kandla), Jawaharlal Nehru (Nhava Sheva), Paradip and Mundra Port as “mega ports” under Section 73(2) and (3) of the Indian Ports Act, 2025. These ports were found to satisfy the criteria for classification as a mega port notified under Section 73(1) of the Act. The notification comes into force from September 25, 2026.
